Join our wonderful employee Chloë for a super chill fun hang at our Hello Summer Ani-Manga Happy Hour! 6-8PM on our back patio! Grab a drink at the bar next door, we will have some treats, meet new folks, kick off your summer at Manga Manga! Just show up! Come for a bit or stay the whole time! The shop will be open late that night, too!

Calling all anime-, manga-, and cartoon-style artists! Join us for Art Jam to meet fellow artists, socialize, network, and collaborate! Be sure to bring your sketchbook or iPad to share tips & tricks. There will be materials provided to use, and remember to keep it family friendly! Remember to bring any art to hang on Manga Manga’s new community art board!
Friday, June 27th - Mini Book Club - Paradise Kiss with Sarah G (6-8PM)
Join us for our very first Mini Book Club featuring Paradise Kiss by Ai Yazawa, who is known for her masterpiece manga Nana. Paradise Kiss is about a high school girl in the world of fashion. Join book club facilitator Sarah G to discuss the 20th Anniversary omnibus edition of the series! A fun throw-back summer read!
Saturday, July 12th - Dr. Nona’s Anime Meet-Up: Upper Elementary (1PM - 3PM)
A casual hang out for Anime fans ages 9-11! We will discuss our favorite anime and manga series, share our favorite Pokemon, try some Japanese snacks, and make a button and/or keychain to take home! Parents are requested to stay for the duration of the meet-up. Facilitated by the wonderful Dr. Nona Landis! This event is a part of Read Around the Block.
Friday, July 18th - Mini Book Club - Lupin The Third: Greatest Heists with Jay (6-8PM)
With over 50 years of history under his belt, it’s no wonder Lupin The Third is an icon in the anime community! Join us as we discuss him and the gang’s wildest adventures in Lupin The Third: Greatest Heists. This collection of stories by Kazuhiro Kato- better known as Monkey Punch- revisits some of Lupin and friends most daring adventures over his half-century of manga stardom. There’ll be plenty of laughs and fun trivia tidbits at this mini book club, so be there- missing it would be a crime! Please keep in mind, this book club is for adults 18+. This event is a part of Read Around the Block.
Saturday, July 19th - Dr. Nona’s Anime Meet-Up: Middle School! (1PM - 3PM)
Make new friends and talk about all things Japan! At this hang out for tween and preteen Anime fans, we’ll create some fanart of our favorite characters, test our knowledge with a guessing game, and learn a little about Japanese pop culture. Ideal for ages 12-14. Parents requested to stay for the duration of the meet-up. Facilitated by the amazing Dr. Nona Landis! This event is a part of Read Around the Block.
Friday, July 25th - Mini Book Club - Look Back with Nick (6-8PM)
Join book club facilitator Nick L to discuss Look Back by Tatsuki Fujimoto (known for Chainsaw Man and Goodbye, Eri). This one-shot is about two young artists and their friendship, rivalry, and shared love for drawing! Look Back is a modern classic and, great summer read for any Fujimoto fans! This event is a part of Read Around the Block.
Saturday, July 26th - Dr. Nona’s Anime Meet Up: Teen Time (1PM - 3PM)
Are you a high schooler looking for a break from summer boredom? Come on down to Manga Manga and meet fellow anime and manga fans! We will play some trivia, debate the strongest and best characters, and make a mini manga to take home! All teens ages 14 and up are welcome. Parents are encouraged but not required to stay for the duration of the event. Facilitated by the incredible Dr. Nona Landis! This event is a part of Read Around the Block.

Wind Breaker is all about tough kids, big fights, and even bigger hearts. It's a really amazing story that emphasizes community building and emotional intelligence development all while having cool hand to hand combat scenes!

Heidi Black is a local comic artist and illustrator who learned to draw from the Manga craze of the early 2000's. They were too dumb to stop and now have a master's degree in comics and over a dozen published works, including the comic series "Sons of Fire," and "Agents of SLAM."

An interactive game that anime and manga fans of any age and knowledge can play to guess what the Japanese name of a few animes’ are. In the second interactive game for everyone they can guess which opening song belongs to which anime. It is a quick but competitive game that anyone can join!
